Dworek Adamski is small, family-run accommodation on the green edge of Wałbrzych, where the town gives way to the forest, a 20-minute walk from Książ Castle. The house, around 150 years old, is built of natural stone, old wooden beams carry the ceilings, and in the library the books reach all the way up.
Every room is furnished differently — with pieces that have a past, not catalogue furniture. In the morning there is breakfast genuinely made in our kitchen: eggs the way you like them, fresh coffee, home-made preserves.
Dworek Adamski has been welcoming guests for more than ten years. Aleksander's parents made it what it is; since 2024 we, Aleksander and Christina, have been running the house with our team. Christina is from Germany, and we both speak Polish, German and English. Next on our list are more rooms and a restaurant of our own. While you are here, we are happy to tell you which trail is at its best right now and where to go for a good dinner.

The Hochberg Path, the Stary Książ ruin, Daisy Lake and the MTB loops begin beyond our garden gate. We have described the routes step by step — with our own maps and GPX files. A little further out: nine peaks with lookout towers and free guided Sunday walks.

Lower Silesia on the doorstep
The woods begin right behind our house, and a 20-minute walk through them brings you to Książ Castle. Szczawno-Zdrój, Stara Kopalnia and the Church of Peace in Świdnica are 10 to 20 minutes from us by car, and Adršpach Rock Town, over the border in the Czech Republic, makes a full day out.

How far is Dworek Adamski from Książ Castle?
Roughly a 20-minute walk through the woods (the last stretch uphill), or five minutes by car. The Książ stud farm is right next to it.

Yes. We have a private car park right at the house; it is free for our guests and needs no reservation.

Is breakfast included?
Breakfast costs 45 zł per person per day and is added when you book or at check-in. It is cooked fresh — vegetarian and vegan included. Breakfast is served Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 9:30 am, and at weekends from 8:00 to 9:45 am.

Reception is staffed daily until 10 pm and check-in starts at 2 pm. If you arrive later, you check in yourself at the terminal in the house and your room card is issued automatically — at any hour.

Yes, when notified in advance. We charge 50 zł for the whole stay.

Is Dworek Adamski suitable for families with children?
Yes. We have a four-bed room with proper beds rather than a sofa bed, a free cot and the forest right behind the house. Children of all ages are welcome; from age 6 the adult rate applies. Książ Castle and the palm house are within walking distance.

No. When booking you only provide a card — nothing is charged. Three days before your arrival we place a hold on it for the amount of your stay (this is not a charge), and payment is taken by card at check-in.

Yes — free of charge until the day before your planned arrival. Cancelling on the day of arrival or not showing up is charged in full. Any hold is released immediately after a timely cancellation.
